St. Gregory’s Hotel – Washington, DC

Washington DC –  I stayed at St. Gregory Hotel in Washington, DC in December for business. I researched many of the area hotels online and have stayed in a few others. I decided on this hotel because of the 4 star rating, proximity to Georgetown (blocks away) and not too far from the convention center (about 3/4 mile). I found a very good deal (AAA promo) for $169 night. Although that isn’t among the cheapest rates around in DC, it was a very good value. Plus it included underground valet parking – which could easily run anywhere up to about $20+ a night in DC.

The room was nicely furnished with a full kitchen area with all the necessities. The beds were absolutely among the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in! Overall a great experience, don’t let the ‘cheesecake’ statue of Marilyn Monroe throw you, this is a classy, but not snobbish, place. For a similar amount to what I’ve spent elsewhere, this was a much nicer place.

Although I’m always looking to get a bargain, I’d consider this hotel again for my next trip even for a few dollars more.
