AmeriSuites Blue Ash – Cincinnatti, OH

This AmeriSuites is a very nice hotel with a small kitchen. It’s located just six miles from Kings Island Theme Park, which was great for us.

Amerisuites is an all suite hotel that includes a complimentary Bountiful Breakfast Buffet, state of the art business center, All of our suiteds feature a bedroom area, with one king or two double beds, living area and kitchenette. There is a microwave, refrigerator, wet bar, coffee maker, Work desk, iron and full size boards, hair dryers, on site fitness center/Outdoor pool, two telephones w/data ports, high speed internet access, video cassette players, and guest laundry facility.

Lockview Motel – Sault Sainte Marie, MI

The Lockview Motel is one of those cabin style set-ups that still exist along the old highways. This one is directly across the street from the locks at Sault Ste. Marie.

Unlike most of the motels of that era, this one is not run down to the point of non existance. The cabins and rooms have been completely renovated on the inside and out. The rooms are spotless, and very tastefully decorated. The fixtures and furniture look new. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The complementary breakfast was fine. There were fresh donuts, juice, cereal, and do-it-yourself egg muffins with sausage and cheese. The price was very reasonable.

We will put the Lockview in our plans whenever we go to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan

Sara Sea Inn – Siesta Key, FL

Sara Sea Inn is a small, quiet, comfortable motel located in an area away from the larger high-rise hotels. Just a minute walk to the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. A great place to get away from it all!

They have three floor plans to choose from: The Hideaway – the choice of budget conscious beach travelers – and the Boutique or Destination for those who prefer a little more space.

All three designs feature a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances – including dishwasher – granite counter tops, cool tile floors, leather sofas, an iPod docking station, 32ā€ flat panel TVs, free wireless Internet, glass enclosed walk-in showers, pillow-toped beds, fluffy white duvets and spa bathrobes.

There are no roads to cross on the flower-lined, brick-paved path to Crescent Beach, one of the top-rated braches in the world. It’s great to walk barefoot from your room to the beach. The sand is powder-soft and pure white!

Days Inn – Lima, OH

I was traveling on Iā€“75 in Ohio and looking for a pocket friendly place to stay in this rising gas price world. I found the Days Inn in Lima to be a convenient and comfortable economy we live in.

My room was cozy and comfortable, and they had a good contintental breakfast to get my day going. I will definitely return to stay at this Days Inn… it’s best for the buck – very affordable and comfortable!

The King Keith House – Atlanta, GA

The King Keith House is a beautiful Victorian Bed and Breakfast with a wrap-around porch (completely with friendly cat) and an ornate interior definitely done by a period collector.

We had some minor difficulties with the air conditioner, but the helpful owners had it fixed quickly and compensated us. The included breakfasts were excellent. We stayed in the cottage and highly recommend it for it’s privacy, comfortable decoration, jaccuzzi tub and setting in a lovely garden.

A very relaxing place to stay in Atlanta — you will not even think you’re in the city!
