Wyndham Oceanside at the Pier – Oceanside, CA

The Wyndham Oceanside at the Pier is a Mediterranean-style resort that sits right at the entrance of California’s longest active recreational pier and across from the beach.

This hotel is the perfect location to enjoy sun, sand and surf. The area has long been a hangout for surfers and artists. There is also an abundance of shopping and recreational sports such as golf.

The Wyndham hotel was impressive. The service and the staff. I would highly recommend as first choice to couples and families traveling. The hotel was clean and perfect location. Very welcoming!

The hotel had a very peaceful surrounding. Our room was spacious.

Town and Country Resort – San Diego, CA

This is suspossed to be a 5 star resort. Not. The price was great, but that’s about it.

We stayed there for one week and a couple of waitresses and gift shop staff was not overly friendly for most of our stay. The property looks great in the front (its spread out over 23 acres) but there are few sidewalks and you have to walk in the road way and keep an eye out for cars and errent golf carts zipping around. Not safe if you have little kids walking with you.

The rooms were clean, but very small and cramped. Our double bed had bottom sheets that did not cover the entire mattress and we arrived back to our room one evening to find our window wide open, aparently by the cleaning crew. Luckily we had not left any valuables in our room and nothing was missing but nevertheless, not a plus when giving out a rating for this hotel. Oh did I mention how dark the hallways are. There is nothing worse than walking down a dimly lit hotel hallway at night! The bathroom again was small and lacked any place to hang clothing, etc.

If you’re looking for an decent place to stay, this is definately not it! Hilton or Marriott could teach them a thing or two about hospitality.

Lake Oswego Phoenix Inn Suites – Portland, OR

Parking Is also complimentary. A complimentary continental breakfast buffet is provided every morning that include eggs, biscuits and gravy, and a self-serve waffle bar.

The customer service at this hotel is fantastic. This is the best value for the dollar! We got a great deal for our room. For the quality, service, and amenities, you would expect to pay over $200. I recommend this hotel!

All the staff members are really really nice and they have tons of great resturants with in walking distance. Their reservation line number is 800-824-9992

Bay Landing Hotel – Burlingame, CA

This is a great little hotel! The Bay Landing Hotel is directly in Burlingame California, on Bayshore Highway.

There are other San Francisco Airport hotels along Bayshore, including a Hyatt, Hampton Inn, Marriott and Westin. I’ve stayed at some of these, and the Hampton Inn is actually very nice. However, the Bay Landing Hotel is directly on San Francisco Bay, with great views of the south bay area ( on a clear day). Good breakfast, great decor, fast internet. It’s basically like an upgraded Hilton Garden Inn. Very nice Italian or Tuscan ambiance.

I typically stay at the Hampton Inn when I’m leaving from San Francisco International, but this time the price was too much. The Bay Landing is my preferred hotel at SFO from now on.
