Rutland’s Holiday Inn is located south of the city directly across the street from the Diamond Run Mall. It’s a well maintained property with a respectable array of amenities on-site.
This Holiday Inn was OK for the price. It’s in a good location. Breakfast was included with our rate. Our room was a bit outdated and the bathroom in need of some minor repairs.
There’s plenty to see and do nearby, with shopping, restaurants and tourist services all around. Some are even a short walk away. If you’re looking for a nice meal I recommend “The Sirloin Saloon”, about a mile north on US Route 7. It’s part of a small regional chain of restaurants and a great place to eat.
