Howard Johnson Hotel and Suites – Newark, DE

This is an older Howard Johnson. It’s located just off I-95 exit 1 (SR 896). We were there in December.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, but nothing special and a free complimentary “executive” breakfast buffet was included. There were several restaurants within a five minute drive. I suggest going there instead. The area seemed a little depressing but the hotel itself was acceptable.

Considering what you get for the price, I’d give this Howard Johnson a 5 on a scale of 1-10.
