Loading ...At one time this was one of the finest hotels in the country and my personal favorite. I’ve been fortunate to stay in some of the finest hotels in the country and at one time the Amway Frand was the best. Alas, this once great hotel is past its prime. The structure is beautiful and well mantained, but the service has been slipping dramatically over the last few years. The Grand is still a gorgeous structure - and if the service only kept pace it truly would be grand. You can spend $70 less a night and be right across the street at the Courtyard Marriot - which even has a tube connecting it to the Amway - so even in the harshest weather you can walk over and enjoy the scenery and bar at the Grand while enjoying great savings across the street. Energized management may bring the Grand back to life.
