My girlfriend and I found a room in three stars Tudor hotel on Expedia.com, so booked it for one week. Location was great as was promised, but actual rooms looked very ? different? from the ones we saw on the website. After getting to our room we checked the sheets (always check your sheets because many hotels don?t always change them) and we found pieces of some sort of potato chips. We asked the front desk what could be done, so she moved us to another room. The new room looked bigger and it had two clean beds (not that we asked for the extra bed). We unpacked and I went to take a shower were I found a melted chewing gum stuck on the top of the bathtub. Lady in the front desk responded that since it was late the housekeeper would clean everything next morning. The next day then we got back to hotel room, the room was cleaned, the chewing gum was still there but now it was covered with the fresh new towel. We had to call up the housekeeping manager so that stuff could be cleaned up. On the third day we were out for the most of the day. After coming back to the hotel I found that my cell phone was missing, although the charger was still plugged in. And here again I was dialing to the front desk. I was explained that I?d have to deal directly with the manager of the hotel next morning. The following day I confronted the manager with the problem that acquired in their hotel. She contacted the housekeeper that cleaned our room on the phone and asked if she saw the phone. The housekeeper denied seeing it and that was the end of the conversation. After talking to the manager for fifteen minutes and explaining my rights she suggested that I might have hide my phone and now I?m trying to get reimbursed by the hotel. Also she told me that the hotel is being not responsible for any valuables left in the rooms and I should have left my phone ?charging? in the safe so conveniently provided by the hotel.

So that was the end of the argument. According to her I was left with only solution of calling up my insurance agency to report my phone stolen. Now, how many people ensure their cell phones? Cause I didn?t. No one is responsible for anything (by the way the only parties that have room keys are guests and the hotel workers.) So, next time you going to stay in ?three star? Tudor hotel, look under the sheets and do not leave your belongings in the rooms.
