LaQuinta Inn - Pigeon Forge, TN
Amid the many rundown motels in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area is a rare jewel–clean, well managed, recently built, and just off the noisy main highway. Although not easy to find (enter via the Long John Silver parking lot) it was worth the search. The property was close to Dollywood and Bennett’s Barbeque, it’s reasonably priced, especially with the coupon in the lodging booklet available at the Tennessee Welcome Center.
Hampton Inn & Suites - Pigeon Forge, TN
Hampton Inn & Suites on the Parkway, also referred to as River Road even though it is not near River Road, had dirty suites. We paid $1,088 for four days at the end of the season. Kitchenette was equiped with two pots, one frying pan and four plates. A call for additional kitchen equipment was ignored. Room, also, had no facial tissues at check-in. The kitchen floor and bathroom floors were dirty. The breakfast buffet wasn’t worth bothering. There were two adults and two children. The rooms were supposed to handle 8-10 people, well the kitchen could not even handle four of us.
Grant Resort & Convention Center - Pigeon Forge, TN
My parents returned today from a two day visit to Pigeon Forge with their friends. Based on the hotel rating I booked them two rooms at the Grand Resort and Conference Center. They were very upset when they returned today.
The hotel was filthy, the free breakfast did not include your drink and coffee was $1.50. The first room they were giventhe bathroom has feces in the toilet and had not been cleaned. They were then given a second room next to the pool area. During the night the plumbing began to make loud sounds from the trapped air in the old pipes.
DoubleTree - Nashville, TN
Poor value when compared to price paid. Iffy service, sub-par rooms, and no internet access are all negative points. One good point is that it has a nice lobby…
Days Inn Vanderbilt - Nashville, TN
The front desk personnel, although adequate, were less than cordial, and made me feel as though I were an intruder and that they were very put upon to serve me. It took forever to figure out that the previous guest had switched the phone over to dataport and not switched it back. Even after this was remedied, I still had a lot of trouble with the needlessly complicated (outdated) phone system. And I ended up having to call in through the business line to get a wake-up call and other assistance, since the "front desk" button just rang and rang.
