Holiday Inn Express Inn and Suites – Savannah, GA

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Inn and Suites in Savannah at I-95 exit 94 this past May. The hotel looks to be fairly new.

They have an outdoor whirlpool and free Wi-Fi access. Our rate included a free hot┬ácontinental breakfast, which was very good. There is a Cracker Barrel and Applebee’s Restaurant within walking distance, plus quite a few other choices. It’s an easy on-off from I-95 if you’re passing thru the area.

This was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed on I-95, and we will definitely be staying there again on future trips!

Wingate Inn – Savannah, GA

Wingate Inn is located just off I-95, exit 94 on Gateway Boulevard. This property is a fairly new, interior four story hotel built in the most accessible area of Savannah. They offer “one price for everything”. Included with your room is: free local calls, free long distance access, 40 item hospitality breakfast, free faxes-sending and receiving, free high speed internet access, free copies in our business center and “guaranteed friendly service”. Wingate Inn is located 12 minutes from any area in Savannah and offer a location that avoids all the traffic. It’s also an all non-smoking hotel.

Nearby restaurants include a Cracker Barrel, Denny’s, Shoney’s and, my personal choice… The Shell House. Rooms are reasonably priced and the service is great! I’d give this Wingate Inn a rating of 8 on a scale of 1-10.

Country Inn and Suites – Kingsland, GA

We stayed at Country Inn and Suites last October. Absolutely loved it. They are located just one block from I-95 so it’s an easy on-off if you’re headed north or south.

They had a super nice front desk and lobby… very cozy and comfortable.┬áThe suites had a separate bedroom with a door from the living room. The suites were very clean. Our rate included a nice continental breakfast. Amenities included free wi-fi, a heated indoor pool, a fitness center and complimentary coffee, cookies and candy available 24 hours 7 days a week in the lobby.

We have stayed at several other Country Inns and this is one of our favorites! Highest recommendation.

Embassy Suites – Brunswick, GA

Embassy Suites is a few miles from I-95 exit 38, but it’s worth the extra time. All are one bedroom suites, facing a large lobby/atrium. Very nice! Price includes a free cooked to order breakfast every morning and a “manager’s reception” (free drinks!) every night. Free USA Today, movie channel, nice rooms…

This Embassy Suites has lots of amenities including in-room microwaves and mini-refrigerators. Guests also have access to state-of-the-art fitness facilities.

If you stop at a nearby I-95 rest area, chances are you’ll find a discount coupon for Embassy. Embassy Suites is physically attached to the Glynn Place Mall with it’s own private entrance. There are several restaurants right in the mall, near the hotel’s entrance as well as a movie theater.

Best Western Plus – Kingsland, GA

I’ve stayed here a few times because I liked it so much. Its located off of I-95 exit 3 where there are a lot of resturants and other motels but this is the one to stay at.

It is kind of nestled in a corner so you are away from all the noise. It has a very modern look and is kept very clean. If you are someone who appreciates nice landscaping like I do you will definitly appreciate it here. There are a few rare tropical plants planted outside like Robellini Palms along with some Sago Palms and of course your native Palmetto. I usually request a room in the back facing the pool with the surround Palmettos.

It is just a very peaceful, relaxing, and tropical look and always look forward to staying there. It usually runs between $65-$75 a night during winter months which isn’t too bad considering the quality you are getting.
