Rhode Island
Radisson Harbor - Providence, RI
Our notes on this hotel:
1. Phones didn’t work.
2. We had 4 people in our family, and we reserved a room with two double beds. We were told that none was available, and were offered a king size bed with a rollaway, which we agreed to accept. Later, we were told that a rollaway was not available. We were given blankets and a set of sheets, and I had to sleep on the floor. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels, and I have never been treated like this.
Holiday Inn - Providence, RI
After driving over 13 hours in a major snow and ice storm, my family and I arrived at the Holiday Inn and were told that there was no room. I had made the reservation through Hotels.com nearly two months in advance and confirmed it directly with the hotel the day before arrival-and they still sold my room to someone else! I was given a choice of a smoking room in another hotel in Providence, or a room in a hotel at the airport, both of which I had stayed in before and knew to be inferior.
