Super 8 Motel – Smithfield, NC
Our family stayed here last year. They had just opened for business. Everything was new and the rates were excellent!
Jameson Inn – Smithfield, NC
Frequently we travel on business and are always looking for a reasonably priced room with amenities for the business traveler. Smithfield is our halfway point on the way to Florida and we’ve stayed at this Jameson Inn several times. Their rooms are great for people who need to do business while on the road. They have data ports and work desks.
Hampton Inn – Selma, NC
This I-95 exit (exit 97) is a regular stopover for travelers on the way to Florida. There are dozens of motels, restaurants and shops located here and this Hampton Inn is one of the nicest motels at this exit. It was built in 1998 with security and comfort in mind. Electronic key lock system, internal hallways and locked exits are some of the security features.
Days Inn – Rowland, NC
To call this a dump would be too generous. It is a filthy, disgusting, depressing joint. How Days Inn, which has so many fine locations, can tolerate this disgrace, I do not understand.
Courtyard by Mariott – Rocky Mount, NC
Stayed there overnite coming from fla. Very clean and got a good price with AAA menbership. Did not notice much going on in area except Out Back Steakhouse, which is a short walk away. Has indoor pool which I found to be a plus.
