Weber’s Inn - Ann Arbor, MI
This hotel was excellent. The pool side suites are a must, though a bit expensive. The two balcony’s (one overlooking the garden, and one overlooking the pool), and the whirlpool made for 2 is very romantic. Also, the beautiful marble table, and the cozy furniture add a lot of character, and charm.
Quality Inn & Suites - Ann Arbor, MI
What a dump! This is an old Howard Johnson’s hotel that has not been maintained or cleaned adequately in years. The bathroom had severe yellow stains and the carpet did not invite going barefoot. The stench from the Thai restaurant (good food though) will permeate your clothes and hair. Several cars in the parking lot had been there for a while and had signs of vandalism.
Courtyard by Mariott - Ann Arbor, MI
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The price is too high for the quality of the rooms. The rooms were not very clean. Carpets were extremely dirty, and blankets and pillows were possibly reused without washing.
Quality Inn Hotel and Suites - Ann Arbor, MI
This is the worst hotel I’ve ever been in, and I’m not picky. Upon arrival in my room I had:
1. Dirty towels were piled on the floor.
2. Cold water handle for shower was detached.
3. Used soap in shower soap dish.
4. Dirty plastic cup on bathroom counter
5. No pillows on bed.
6. Trash can had not been emptied.
7. Bed was made but sheets threadbare, with small tear. Looked like the sheets hadn’t been changed.
8. Entry light bulb to room was burned out.
Heard enough? There’s more…
Ramada Inn Downtown - Detroit, MI
Descriptions of this hotel on website our highly inaccurate. The hotel is not in the best area of Detroit and is apparently used quite often for sex fetish shows. The weekend we were there, there were people dressed in bondage, transvetites, etc. walking throughout the lobby, hallways and on the elevators. We rode the eleveator to our rooms with a woman dressed in a g-string, boots and no other clothing; although, she had her nipples painted silver.
