Fairfield Inn - Bangor, ME
Pros: Big, comfortable, quiet, smoke-free rooms. Staffed 24 hours. Helpful portfolio of info in each room, has info on area businesses, etc. Vending, pool, fitness, and a decent continental breakfast. Reading by the front desk area’s propane fireplace was pleasant. They have a humidifier to borrow if the air’s too dry. Fairfield Inn is the ONLY lodging where I’ve actually slept well.
Best Western Senator Inn and Spa - Augusta, ME
Last weekend my wife and I stayed at the Senator Inn and Spa. I can’t say enough about how nice the staff and the facilities were. Our spa suite, which included a jacuzzi tub and fireplace was absolutely beautiful.

Holiday Inn - Saco, ME
We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Saco, Maine 3 times in 2005. All 3 stays were great. The place was clean, quiet and offered a great breakfast.
Days Inn Airport - Bangor, ME
I stayed at the Days Inn Airport in Bangor Maine this past weekend. I booked it through this website. It sounded like an ok price until we got there. If this place is 3 stars then I’m the Queen of England. First, when you pull up, the appearance of the building alone, hints it is less than 3 stars, there are at least 2 huge craters in the parking lot, which have undoubtly caused some vehicle damage, or will.
Misty Harbor Resort - Wells, ME
This was a nice place to stay with a kitchen and breakfast table and a private bedroom off the main living area. The sofa bed was comfortable and it was nice and clean. The property is near the beach and a wildlife reserve is in back of it providing a vast amount or brush covered land for the little critters.
