Loading ...You know what to expect with Fairfield Inns and this one does not disappoint. It has clean rooms, data ports, a small seasonal pool and is set back from I-95. Exit 4B (Ask for a room not facing I95 so you do not have to hear the humm of the road.) It offers a free continental breakfast with limited hot items. Book in advance and you can get substantial discounts. AAA and AARP discounts are also accepted. There is a Courtyard by Marriott right next door that has an indoor pool.
Shoney’s Inn - Wilmington, DE
(1 votes, average: 3 out of 5) Loading ...Shoney’s is located about 1/2 mile north of I-95 Exit 4B. It’s clean and reasonably priced, and includes a free breakfast and free local calls. There is a Shoney’s Restaurant on the property as well as a Chili’s next door. The Christiana Mall, a large regional shopping center is about 2 miles away, if you’re into spending money to help you sleep.
Red Roof Inn - Wilmington, DE

Red Roofs are reasonably priced establishments with a limited number of amenities, and this location is no exception. Rooms are average, but the price is right. The motel is located on a frontage road that was not very well lit so a short walk before bedtime may not be the best way to wind down after a day on the road. There’s a Shoney’s and a Chili’s adjacent to the motel that you can walk to.
Howard Johnson Hotel & Suites - Newark, DE
(1 votes, average: 3 out of 5) Loading ...This is an older Howard Johnson. It’s located just off I-95 exit 1 (SR 896). We were there in December 1999 while substantial renovations were going on, so it’s probably much nicer now. Rooms were clean and comfortable, but nothing special and a free complimentary "executive" breakfast buffet was included. There were several restaurants within a five minute drive. I suggest going there instead.
