It was previously an AmeriSuite, and is a relatively new property. It’s located on Caravan Court, just across from Universal Studios. Rooms are comfortable and resaonably priced. All rooms have a 42″ flat panel high-definition television, a plush oversized sofa sleeper that is separated from the sleeping area, and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi internet access. We’ve stayed at the other Hyatt Place on International Drive and this one is pretty much the same.

Guests enjoy a free continental breakfast each morning and can purchase freshly prepared menu items 24 hours a day. Premium espresso drinks, beer and wine are also available at the Gallery Café. They also have a fitness center and an outdoor heated pool. The staff was extremely accommodating when we checked in and frequently asked if everything was ok.

There’s a Denny’s, Cracker Barrel and TGI Friday’s adjacent to Amerisuites, well within walking distance.
Considering what you get for the price, I would rate this Hyatt Place an 8 on a scale of 1-10.

One of our favorite locations to stay while in the Orlando area is on the south end of International Drive, near the Orange County Convention Center. That part of "I-Drive" is newer and far less gaudy than the north end. We've stayed at most of the hotels here at one time or another and AmeriSuites is one of the better bargains on International Drive.
For those of you that require a suite rather than a room, AmeriSuites is an excellent choice. You get a bedroom, living room and kitchen for a little more than the cost of a room. A hot breakfast and newspaper every morning and a manager's reception (free drinks and snacks!) every Wednesday are just a few of the extras.

One of our favorite locations to stay while in the Orlando area is on the south end of International Drive, near the Orange County Convention Center. That part of “I-Drive” is newer and far less gaudy than the north end. We’ve stayed at most of the hotels here at one time or another and Hyatt Place is one of the better bargains on International Drive.

We had a spacious guestroom with a 42″ flat panel high-definition television, a plush oversized sofa sleeper that is separated from the sleeping area, and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access throughout the hotel.

The “Gallery” is a warm and open area that features a self-registration kiosk, an small coffee and wine cafe, a TV den and an e-room with free access to a public computer and printer.

Guests can purchase hot breakfast entrees along with Starbucks specialty coffees or enjoy a free continental breakfast. Hyatt Place also offers a variety of freshly prepared, cafe quality items, including made-to-order entrees, sandwiches, soups, salads and pizza which guests can order 24 hours a day, seven days a week via a touch screen menu in the Guest Kitchen or from the Guest Host.

The complimentary fitness center is equipped with state-of-the-art cardio and strength equipment… the cardio machines even let users watch their TV programming while exercising.

Another nice thing about the location is that there is plenty of diversions within walking distance… great restaurants, shopping and attractions, far too much to list here.

Considering what you get for the price, I’d give this Hyatt Place an 8 on a scale of 1-10.
