Hilton – Deerfield Beach, FL
The lobby is attractive, but the rooms are extremely dirty. Mold, mildew and rust are on all of the bathroom fixtures. A wet stain was on the bedspread from the guest before us. My 9 year old daughter was flipping through the channels on the television and was exposed to a x-rated show. When management was notified they were not in any hury to fix the problem. We checked out two days early.
Hawthorn Suites Westwood – Orlando, FL
There are several Hawthorn Suites Hotels in the Orlando area. This particular one is located off the south end of International Drive on Westwood Boulevard. It’s a very nice location in that it’s within walking distance to several restaurants yet relatively secluded from the hustle and bustle of International Drive. If you plan on visiting Seaworld, this hotel is within walking distance.
The Peabody – Orlando, FL
This hotel is without question the nicest, most elegant hotel we have stayed at! The high-rise hotel is truly grand and immacculate, with soft lighting accentuating the marble floors and walls in the lobby area. The grounds are lush and tropical, with large fountains flanking the entrance. The staff is excellent; very knowledgable and very willing to help. Courteous, too. Beds are the most comfortable you can ever find of any hotel, anywhere. More comfortable than home!
Golden Sands Hotel – Miami, FL
This hotel was a first class dump. It had *censored*roaches, was incredibly loud, and had late night parties. Waste of money.
Days Inn Oakland – Fort Lauderdale, FL
This hotel is located less than 100 yards from a train track, and while there, a train kept coming by about once an hour, all night long, blowing it’s horn, waking me up practically every hour. I wouldn’t recommend anyone ever stay here. The only reason I did was because the rate was cheap, $44.25, and now I know why.
