Travelodge - Flaggstaff, AZ

Loading ...I spent one night at the Flagstaff (AZ) University/Grand Canyon Travelodge, after making a reservation online. The website promised clean, spacious rooms and two spas with a sauna. The reason for my trip was because it was the anniversary of my son’s death, followed by his birthday the next day, so I was looking for a way to get through those difficult days as gently as possible. Unfortunately, the reality was far different than what was portrayed at the Travelodge website. Our room was dingy and shabby, bathroom looked like it hadn’t really been cleaned in ages, and the water in the spa was so nasty-looking that we weren’t about to even touch it. If I’d been able to find any other accomodations that weekend, I certainly would have, but the Flagstaff summer tourist season is very busy and there was no other lodging available. The rates at Travelodge were no more reasonable than other hotels/motels. So if you’re traveling to Flagstaff, don’t make the mistake of staying at Travelodge!!
