Best Western - St. Augustine, FL

Loading ...This hotel was fine, but the young lady behind the counter was not too bright. Called Best Western to confirm accommodations pet friendly/handicap room no problem. I got to the hotel and the young lady told me that I could not have a handycap room and a pet friendly room as the same one. She told me she can call across the street to another hotel. I said no because I always stayed at a Best Western.
Sara Sea Inn - Siesta Key, FL
(4 votes, average: 3.25 out of 5) Loading ...Small, quiet, comfortable motel located in an area away from the larger high-rise hotels. Just a minute walk to the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. A great place to get away from it all!
Sheraton Downtown - Chicago, IL

First, the good things: the Riverside Cafe (lower level) was wonderful and the breakfast buffet was delicious. All the staff there, and at the rest of the hotel were friendly and courteous, and the kids enjoyed watching the chef prepare their breakfasts. Great location. The views from the hotel were awesome (we were on the 18th floor) overlooking the river and Lake Michigan. The other side of the building has great city views. Now, the bad news…

(1 votes, average: 2 out of 5) Loading ...I would not recommend this hotel. I recently had a reservation at this hotel. I’ve never been there before. My mother went in the hospital the day I was to arrive and had emergency surgery the next day. I did not receive a reservation confirmation. I called the hotel manager to cancel my reservation at 10:30am the expected day of arrival, I got an answering machine and he called back, left word with my co-worker he was going to charge me for the room. He charged me for 2 days and from what I understand the hotel was sold out that weekend. I tried talking to the assistant manager and he said "do what you have to do".
Wingate Inn Busch Gardens - Tampa, FL
(1 votes, average: 3 out of 5) Loading ...My wife and I had went to Busch Gardens after I returned from serving over seas and we had stayed at Wingate Inn. Everything about the stay was fine. A few days after we had checked out, we noticed a new charge on our credit card. They had charged us and accused us of stealing items from the room. We were never notified of the accusations and they just went ahead and charged our credit card. Since I am in the military, I was given a government rate and reminded them of the fact. I talked to the management and told them I did not take the items and they would not work with me one bit. I feel that they are a very shady business and have reported them to the better business bureau. I wonder how many others this has happened to?
