Radisson Resort at the Port - Cape Canaveral, FL
If you are planning a cruise out of Cape Canaveral, the Radisson Resort is a great place to stay before of after your trip. We booked a cruise and stayed here for several nights before we boarded and again for the night after our we returned. They have a great “Key West” atmosphere that got us in the mood for our sailing.
The resort is the closest to the port, only about a mile away and offers free parking while you’re on your cruise… which can save you quite a bit in port parking fees. They also offer a free shuttle service to and from the port. Once we returned from our cruise, our last night here was a great way ease back into the real world.
The Radisson Resort staff is very accommodating and the rooms are clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. A large free-form pool, hot tubs, tennis court, restaurant, and gift shop are just a few of the ammenities.
Considering what you get for the price, I would rate the Radisson Resort at the Port an 8 on a scale of 1-10.

Located on I-93 at exit 12, this Days Inn is one of Concord’s oldest motels, but in very good shape. About a year ago they overhauled the property, including enclosing some of the outside hallways. Their rates are reasonable, and the rooms are clean and well maintained.
You will have to get in your car and drive a mile or two to grab a bite to eat or go shopping because there is not too much near the motel, there is however a Dunkin Donuts and Subway within walking distance.
The Concord area has several attractions including the Christa McAuliffe Planetarium and, if you’re a NASCAR fan, the New Hampshire International Speedway.
Radisson Resort Celebration - Orlando, FL
Actually, this Radisson Resort is located in Kissimmee, a few miles south of Orlando and a lot closer to Disneyworld. It’s very reasonably priced, large (over 700 rooms) hotel with some nice family oriented features including a large free-form pool with 40′ water slide that runs through a rocky grotto, a waterfall, lush landscaped grounds, fitness center, lighted tennis courts, sauna, whirlpools, gift shop, restaurant, etc.
The hotel is only 1.5 miles from the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks, and they provide scheduled shuttle service to Disney, Seaworld Orlando and Universal Studios Orlando. They also have an activities program that consists of a wide variety of daily events for all ages and kids always eat free.
Price was right too… We booked through this website and got a special for $99 a night that included a $30 food credit!
Hampton Inn - Fredricksburg, VA
We recently traveled down I-95 for a relocation to Florida. We stayed at two Hampton Inns. The first was this Hampton Inn in Fredricksburg, Virginia.
We were so pleasantly surprised. The rooms were great, service above par and breakfast buffet quite adequate for what we required. We paid $99ea. for two king rooms, since our son was with us. Coming from metro NY we were happy about every single thing in this establishment and so lucky we found it on the I-95 travel site. The property location just off the highway was easy to find and there were plenty of alternate restaurants should you need to use them.
Hampton Inn - Santee, SC
What a lovely place! Our room at this Hampton Inn was above and beyond for the price of $89pp for a King size bed.
The breakfast was more than adequate in variety and necessity. The staff so friendly. This is a perfect stop along I-95 and a great rest for the weary traveler. We ate at Shoneys because we did not want to go back out for a car ride. I don’t think I would do that again. But this Hampton Inn was well worth the money.
